The First Part of Baby’s Story

I help busy mums-to-be plan their dream photo session and actually make it happen so that you no longer have to put off those maternity photos that you just never seem to get around to booking. As you get closer to meeting your baby for the very first time, most of your time and energy is on nesting and readying your home for it’s newest little addition. Just as it should be. That’s where I come in. Once you book your maternity and newborn sessions with me, I’ll take care of all the planning and details, even providing wardrobe, accessories and design elements for your sessions. For this beautiful maternity session, after styling the shoot around the whites and neutrals that mum loves, I did a little online shopping and found just the dress that mum was envisioning for her eldest to wear.

When this beautiful mum contacted me to organise her maternity photo session she wasn’t sure she’d even make it til the next available session date! It’s not unusual for any of us to put off being photographed until we think we’re truly ready, but with maternity and newborn baby photo sessions, the luxury of time is something you just don’t always have! Sound familiar? Well the best time to be photographed is always now. But with pregnancy sessions, it’s really important to plan your session for your 32-34 week mark when you’re feeling energetic, excited about baby’s arrival, and your beautiful baby belly is full enough to show, but you’re still fairly comfortable. So really, all you need to do is book your date, tell me how you dream of being photographed, and leave the styling and planning to me!

Maternity Sessions are always so very exciting. Be sure to book in based on your 32-34 week mark as soon as you have a due date.

Being her third pregnancy, and every pregnancy is unique, she was surprised when her baby bump seemed to expand before her very eyes in the later weeks of her pregnancy, so we worked hard to sneak in her session just before Christmas. And what an incredible experience it was!

Mum had her makeup done professionally at the studio while her two older daughters played dress up with the studio wardrobe and hand made flower crowns - two wonderfully creative girls who really made their session their own. Including the whole family, these photographs really do capture the strength of the sisters’ bond, and the love and anticipation they all hold as the birth of their baby boy draws nearer. This little fellow is so truly loved already! And with two big sister helpers in the wings, I can’t wait to document their connection when he arrives earth side!
