He’s arrived!

Baby has arrived! And I can not wait to meet him. A big Congratulations to his loving parents!

With a truly beautiful maternity session and milk bath showing all the love, anticipation, and excitement as baby’s due date drew nearer, this mum’s pregnancy memories and beautiful connection with her growing baby are now captured forever. They’re going to make such a heartfelt addition to the baby’s newborn folio collection of fine art printed photographs. We were planning a sunset maternity session too, but between Christmas, the weather, potential Covid risks, and baby’s arrival we might have to make this session a beach sunset family session a little down the track!

I’ve sourced a new cute little outfit for him to wear too! I’m finding it so hard to resist all the beautiful baby clothing available, so I can’t begin to imagine how tempting the online, midnight feed time, instagram scroll is for my new mums!! I’m thinking this Illoura The Label knitted kimono wrap top and pants might be just perfect for this little one.

This sustainable baby and children’s clothing designer has values deeply inline with my own at SQP. They create cherished children’s wear that doesn’t cost our planet or the beautiful people who craft their clothing. Produced slowly and kindly, with a focus on mindfully designed pieces made to the highest of quality, to last you many years and generations to come. Just like the stunning printed photographs, Folios, and wall art that you can create with me to display your treasured images. Made with care, craftsmanship and longevity in mind to become your new tradition. Your little family’s new heirlooms.

I can’t wait to welcome this little family back into my home studio and create a little sanctuary for them to enjoy a few hours of pampering and relaxation during their newborn session. These times of Covid and the current peak in cases in Queensland has meant this new little family, like so many others, understandably can’t show off their little bundle to those they love in person while in hospital, to minimise any potential infection risk.

Please be assured that my home studio is professionally cleaned, sanitised and hygienic. I’m very happy to say that I’m triple vaccinated, as are all my family members and any assistants that may be present for your sessions. As a precaution I will also wear a mask during your session. And as you’ll find out below, hand washing technique is one of my all time biggest obsessions!!

Always refer to your GP or OBGYN for trusted information about navigating pregnancy and life with your newborn especially right now in relation to Covid. Being informed by your caregivers will help alleviate any anxieties around what’s best for you and your baby at this time. The OBGYN’s at Pindara Private that I partner with, have some very informative and current information for new mums and mums-to-be on their instagram. Be sure to also take a look at Dr Drew Moffrey’s regular insta stories posts for topical, up-to-date, reliable, expert information.

I’m really very mindful of your situation as new mums at this time particularly, and I strive to go above and beyond with good hygiene and protective measures for you and your baby while in my home. I have a Masters Degree in Communications and actually used to work in Public Health and developed a hand washing education programme for kindergartens and childcare back in the day, which I believe is still very popular. So believe me when I say exceptional handwashing practices and hygiene are always on my radar and are non-negotiable for me!!
